June 24 – PresentIT Lead – AI, Santander UK
- Led the implementation of multiple use cases of AI into the business with a cross-functional squad of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Cloud Engineers.
- Creation of multiple reusable AI components that can be deployed onto other systems and products with minimal time and effort from the respective teams.
- Regular reporting and presentation of progress and work to various levels of management including directors of IT functions.
- Providing technical problem solving and support where necessary to software engineers, facilitating collaboration across different teams to reach the best outcome.
- Overall responsibility and sight of project including business value, budgets, timelines, governance and exit criteria.
Software Engineering Manager – BPM Team, Santander UK
- Responsible for the entire software development lifecycle of new solutions, starting with the scoping and design of requirements through development and testing to deployment of the product to customers. This is done in an environment of various legacy and modern systems, with an aim to reduce complexity and technical debt wherever possible through collaboration with architecture.
- Experience delivering solutions featuring a wide technology toolset including SaaS products, Cloud Hosting, APIs, Web Development, database management, CI/CD pipelines and more.
- Responsible for the movement of project teams to use the agile methodology, migration of documentation into Confluence and the tracking of projects through JIRA, integrating this with DevOps tools to enable CI/CD to enable greater control while streamlining the deployment process.
- Leading a team of software developers, business analysts and QA analysts comprising of a mixture of internal and third-party contractor resources.
- Supporting an ongoing culture of continuous improvement within the teams I manage, encouraging best practise sharing, whilst utilising a test and learn methodology of new technologies. Mentor to graduate scheme and apprenticeship employees to support early career development.
- Support of audit requests from internal and external audit teams.
- Identification of correct team for support of production software and responsibility for the maintenance and incident management of software.
